This Privacy Policy describes how Barricade ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Barricade mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

• Email address — collected when you register with email and password or sign in with Google.
• Display name (nickname) — a name you choose yourself, shown to opponents during online games.

Game activity

• Game results (wins, losses, draw reason).
• ELO rating and rating history.
• Game timestamps.

Technical data

• Crash reports and error logs collected automatically to help us fix bugs. These may include device type, OS version, and app version.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, microphone input, advertising identifiers, or financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To enable online multiplayer matchmaking and games.
• To display your rating and game history on your profile.
• To fix bugs and improve the app using crash reports.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — handles sign-in securely. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Sentry — collects crash reports and error logs. Sentry Privacy Policy
• Railway / Neon — cloud infrastructure where your account data and game history are stored on secured servers.

4. Data Retention

Your account data (email, nickname, ratings, game history) is stored for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Crash reports are automatically purged after 90 days.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are never stored by us — authentication is handled entirely by Firebase. We do not have access to your Google account beyond your email address and display name.

6. Children's Privacy

Barricade is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.

8. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Barricade account and all associated data at any time.

What gets deleted:

• Your email address and display name.
• Your ELO rating and full game history.
• Your Firebase Authentication record.

What is retained:

• Anonymised aggregate game statistics (no personal identifiers).
• Crash reports already submitted to Sentry, which are purged automatically after 90 days.

How to request deletion:

Send an email to ps2107.apps@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
